Day 16 of Halloween Projects: Halloween Smores in a Jar (Printable tag at bottom of post)

For Day 16, I have a fun project for you: Halloween Smores in a Jar

To make these, you will need a canning jar with the lid.
1) Crush 10 graham crackers and place them in the bottom of the jar.  (I put them in ziplock bag and then used a rolling pin to crush them)
2)Place Ghost Peeps around the jar so they make a ring around the edge. (it will take 5 or 6 depending on how tightly you squeeze them in)  (You can also use other seasonal peeps if you want to)
3)Take 1/3 cup of brown sugar and fill the center between the ghost peeps.
4)Now take 1 1/4 cup of seasonal M&Ms and fill the jar to the top.
** You can use fabric, etc. to decorate the top of the jar however you would like.  I just used a printed label that I created with my Scrapbook Factory Software and printed it onto sticker paper to fit the top of the lid.

Once you have your smores in a jar completed, you will need to add the tag that gives the directions to the jar as well.  I created this to print just like the label. Once I printed it out, I simply punched a hole and attached it with orange ribbon.
The directions are as follows:
Empty Jar into a large bowl.  Remove the marshmallows and combine the remaining ingredients.  Snip marshmallow peeps into small pieces with scissors and return to the bowl; stir into dry mix.  Melt 1/2 cup of butter and add to the mix.  Next add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/3 cup of buttermilk to mix. Mix well.  Press lightly into a 9x9 inch pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

If you would like to use the label for the top of the jar or the tag for the instructions that I created, simply click on the pictures below and they will enlarge these so that you can print them.
